If you’re like me, you’re probably sick of hearing about Donald Trump. He is a master at desecrating American values and norms, and we are permanently stuck on high alert.
Too many of our elected officials seem comfortable turning a blind eye to the constant attacks on the American way of life brought by this president and his corruption-prone senior advisors.

To be fair, some Republicans are catching on. For example, former House Speaker John Boehner gives Donald Trump a passing grade on foreign policy, but nothing else:
Everything else he’s done has been a complete disaster… He’s still learning how to be president.
Conservative Republican Mark Sanford (R-SC) agrees with the assessment, pointing out that Trump’s influence is harming the fabric of our society:
Respectfully, I’d submit that the president has unearthed some demons. I’ve talked to a number of people about it back home. They say, ‘Well, look, if the president can say whatever, why can’t I say whatever?’ He’s given them license… There is a total weirdness out there.
Former Governor Jeb Bush still believes that Donald Trump is bad for the country:
When I ran for office, I said he is a chaos candidate and would be a chaos president. Unfortunately, so far chaos organizes the presidency right now.
Standing up to your own party is hard, to be sure. But it’s the Utah thing to do. Let’s echo one of Utah’s great moral leaders, President Thomas Monson:
May we maintain the courage to defy the consensus. May we ever choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong.
The easier wrong is proving to be the path of choice for our far-right Representatives. We can send Utah’s incumbent Republicans a message that we believe in standing up for what is right.
